Pekin

The Pekin is a true bantam breed, with no large fowl equivalent, originating from Peking (Beijing). Their legs and outer toes are covered in feathers. They lay small, white eggs, approximately 100 per year. Pekins are very docile and are ideal for children or if you're new to keeping chickens. Pekins are prone to going broody and make good mothers.

We breed various colours of Pekin - lavender, chocolate, black, mottled and lemon cuckoo, some frizzled.
